The Adaptimax Shoe Mount replaces the flimsy plastic Sony microphone holder which tends to break very easily and passes through terrible handling noises. Our mount uses the same two screws and screw holes which are used to attach the original Sony microphone holder. Now you can mount a much higher quality microphone holder with far superior isolation to make all those camera handling noises a thing of the past!

Replacing the Sony mount for the Adaptimax Shoe Mount is simple and only takes a couple of minutes.

Unscrew the Sony microphone holder using a Philips screwdriver. Lineup the two holes on the Adaptimax Shoe Mount and with the same two screws attach the Shoe Mount to the EX1 or EX3. Simple as that.

From the video clip on the right you can see we are using the Azden SMH-1 mount. This is an inexpensive mount that works very well and gives excellent isolation. There are many other microphone mounts available which will work just as well.
